MicroCode Lab // Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
Welcome to MicroCode Lab. By subscribing to our architectural services, you agree to the following terms. We’ve kept this simple and transparent—the same way we write code.
1. The Service Protocol
MicroCode Lab provides high-velocity Angular engineering and architectural consulting.
The "One Track" Rule: Your subscription covers one active development task at a time. You may have an unlimited queue of tasks, but we focus on executing them sequentially to ensure Principal-level quality.
Delivery Cadence: We aim for a 48–72h turnaround on most tasks. Complex architectural shifts may require more time, which will be communicated via Slack/Loom.
2. Subscription & Payments
Pre-paid Model: Services are billed monthly in advance.
Pause or Cancel: You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time through your billing portal. If you pause, the remaining days in your billing cycle will be preserved for future use.
No Refunds: Due to the high-intensity nature of architectural work and the immediate allocation of resources, MicroCode Lab does not offer refunds once a billing cycle has started.
3. Intellectual Property (IP)
Client Ownership: Once payment is cleared, you own 100% of the work product. This includes all code, documentation, and architectural designs created specifically for your project during the subscription period.
Our Tools: We reserve the right to reuse generic architectural patterns, open-source contributions, or internal boilerplate libraries that were not created specifically for your proprietary logic.
4. Communication Workflow
Asynchronous First: To maintain "Deep Work" efficiency, MicroCode Lab operates on an asynchronous-first basis via Slack.
Strategic Syncs: One 30-minute strategic video call is included per week to align on roadmap and high-level decisions.
5. Liability & Warranty
"As-Is" Delivery: While we provide elite-grade code, MicroCode Lab services are provided "as-is." We are not liable for any damages, loss of data, or business interruptions resulting from the implementation of our architectural recommendations.
Third-Party Dependencies: We are not responsible for issues arising from third-party APIs, libraries (including Angular core updates), or hosting providers.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate service for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Abusive communication.
- Requests that fall outside the scope of Angular architecture/engineering.
- Failure to provide necessary context for task execution.
